That is Thessaloniki
Thessaloniki is culturally, economically, historically and also touristically Greece’s second city after Athens, and the most important city in Northern Greece. It is situated at the Thermaic Gulf and close to 1,200 m high Chortiatis mountain. This position made the city significant since its very beginnings. Founded more than 2,300 years ago, Thessaloniki looks back to an eventful history of conquests, flourishing, and destruction. With a population of nearly one million people and an area of almost 3,700 km2, Thessaloniki is situated in the region of Makedonia, attracting the visitor with incountable historical pearls among its sometimes not too inviting modern architecture.
